Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented to join our team. The will be responsible for accurately coding medical records using ICD-10 and ICD-9 systems. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding guidelines, and medical office procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical coding, medical billing, and medical records management. Duties: - Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate diagnosis codes using ICD-10 and ICD-9 systems - Ensure accuracy and completeness of coded information - Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies - Stay up-to-date with changes in coding guidelines and regulations - Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Assist with medical billing processes as needed - Perform other related duties as assigned Skills: - Proficient in ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology - Familiarity with medical office procedures and workflows - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Requirements: - Previous experience in medical coding or related field preferred - Certification in medical coding (such as CPC or CCS) is a plus - Knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is an asset We offer competitive compensation based on experience. Please note that all positions at our company are paid, including internship positions.
